Marketing Manager - Winston Salem, NC

Merchandising Display Division

The opportunity:

  • The Marketing Manager must have an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of success
  •  Will drive marketing and strategic planning, manage and execute marketing projects to support and drive divisional initiatives and contribute to sales growth for WestRock’s Merchandising Display division
  •  Manage internal systems to drive data accuracy and integrity
  •  Work with a collaborative team and work cross-divisionally, when needed, to execute a unified one-company approach
  •  Assist in marketing program outcomes

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Support content marketing initiatives to deliver and nurture leads in SalesForce.com that deliver sales and customer retention
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition in the marketplace
  • Help coordinate RFI/RFPs (Request for Information, Request for Proposal)
  • Manage WestRock Entries for industry design competitions (OMA, DOT)
  • Project manage and coordinate the Retail Learning Lab program.
  • Support and maintain Winston-Salem Office Innovation/Retail Lab
  • Manage trade shows for driving maximum customer and prospect engagement
  • Support the development of sales tools, presentations, and resource hub
  • Update retailer specifications for displays and in-store signage and messaging, category trends and industry research
  • Ensure our customers get the quality, consistency, and responsiveness they deserve

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the areas of Marketing Communications, Content Development, Lead Generation and Analytics in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Merchandise Display is a plus
  • Copywriting skills for newsletter and content development with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to articulate ideas in a clear concise and appropriately assertive manner
  • Expert level in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Produce high quality work with thoroughness and accuracy; meet deadlines, be a self-starter with high energy
  • Experience in both Project Management and managing priorities
  • Collaborate and work effectively with a range of WestRock teams and customers
  • Ability to travel (approximately 25%) to trade shows, sales meetings, customer presentations, and training events
  • High School diploma/GED is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
